Why Is It Plant-Safe?
- Blasting flies and other annoying pests with salt is a fun way to do your own home pest control. But salt is highly toxic to many plants and can cause devastating collateral damage to any nearby plants that get caught in the cross-fire.
- While shooting a single load of salt may not seem like much, repeated shots can accumulate over time causing injury and distress. If you're shooting multiple kilograms of salt into your yard and it's slowly turning brown, you might want to cut back on the salt! BugShot™ ammo is 100% salt free.
How Is It Bug-Deadly?
- Like a shot gun, bug guns use kinetic energy of fast-moving granules ("shot") to inflict damage. Faster-moving, more-massive granules inflict more damage.
- BugShot™ granules, on average, are 3-4x more massive and 40% less dense than ordinary table salt. This enables the granules to accelerate to a higher velocity, releasing up to 5x more kinetic energy per granule on impact.
- BugShot granules are not only faster and more energetic, they deliver their energy to the target over a shorter period of time, resulting in more "punch" compared to salt.
- BugShot granules have irregular shapes and sharp edges, which help penetrate a target and inflict greater damage.
